Comicpendium - Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 8, 2026

SchenkTech ("we", "us", or "our") built Comicpendium ("the App") to help you follow the order you read comics in. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the App.

Information Collection and Use

Comicpendium does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and we run no server that receives your data. We cannot see your reading lists, your progress, or your servers.

What Stays on Your Device

iCloud Sync

If iCloud is enabled in the App (it can be turned off in Settings), your lists, series, issues, and reading progress sync between your own devices using your private iCloud database via CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us. iCloud is operated by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The App works fully without iCloud.

Keeping a Server on Your Other Devices (Optional)

By default your server addresses and API keys never leave the device they were entered on. If you choose "Keep on my other devices" for a Komga or Kavita server, that server's address and key are also stored in your iCloud Keychain so that your other devices can use it. Apple encrypts iCloud Keychain end to end, and we cannot read it. Turning the option off removes it.

Services the App Connects To

The App contacts these only when you set the feature up or use it:

Like any website or API, those services can see your device's network address and the requests the App makes to them. The App does not send them any other information about you.

Local Network

If your server is on your home network, iOS asks permission for the App to find devices on your local network. The App uses this only to reach the servers you add.

Notifications

Release alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved.

Third-Party Analytics and Advertising

The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
